That's footage from Bakshi's 1977 opus Wizards. HE used rotoscope techniques, using footage from Alexander Nevski.

Thank you for posting the translation! I've been wondering about it ever since I first heard this circa 1971. I speak halfway-decent German, but misheard some of the words, for example "Governour" as "wer war nur" (who was just) and "Krieger" (warrior)as "Friede" (peace). Your way makes much more sense.

Why Nepal? That's exactly the point of the song:in fact, there is no connection between Germany and Nepal.But in the "schizoid" mind of a nationalist, his country should own everything everywhere, even Nepal, that lies thousands of miles away from Europe.The usage of Nepal is just symbolic, and the song stands as an excellent irony of this way of thinking.

schizoid is a mental illnes, is not a character flaw. It is an illness; just as diabetes, cancer and glandular fever are illnesses. A person suffering from a mental illness is not lazy for simply not "snapping out of it" or "cheering up", just as with any illness help and support is required to overcome mental illness.

The translations offered above are all crap. Here's a better one:
"A general was standing at my cradle,

Maybe the general was wrong."
*This word sounds more like "Kriege" (wars) than "Krieger" (warriors) in the Wolf City version, but is "Krieger" in Utopia.
