I was thinking about purchasing a nepali sarangi and I was wondering how difficult the instrument is and where you recommend getting a good one
thank you!
The best place to get one is not online. The good nepali sarangis are to be found in: NEPAL!
Hope that answered your question
Rana Lama
Ok, I'll be more specific. Online instruments are the same as they sell to tourists in Nepal. Definitely NOT what serious students or professionals would use. I play nepali sarangi, I know. The very best are to be found in Pokhara, any Nepali would agree too. If you buy one online, I think you will be very disappointed with what you get. There are no instructional books to my knowledgeDid I answer all your questions?
I got given one of these drums while i was climbing in nepal. I really want to learn to play it! You should make a video of basic techniques and beats with the madal. I think allot of people would really appreciate it- including me!
Keep up the good work
